Have you signed up for the 77th Annual President’s/Leukemia Cup Regatta yet? We want to see you out on the water, and there is still time to make sure that your boat name appears on the regatta t-shirt! The deadline to raise $100 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has been extended to August 26. Want to make sure that your boat name appears on the regatta t-shirt? Keep reading to find out how, in three easy steps.
1) Visit http://www.potomacriversailing.org/PresidentsLeukemiaCups/ to sign-up for the regatta.
2) Make sure to select “yes” at the bottom of the form when asked whether you would like to receive additional information from the LLS.
3) Watch for an email from Kaitlin McTighe at the LLS with additional details concerning your personalized fundraising page for online donations and other information on raising funds. The LLS helps make fundraising easy, so you should have no problem raising that first $100 and even more!
If you raise $100 by August 26. you will have your boat name included on the regatta t-shirt. Even if you don’t make the t-shirt deadline, there are additional benefits (beyond the support of a great cause) to raising funds. If you raise $100 by the weekend of the regatta you will be eligible for Saturday’s racing awards from the LLS and will also receive a goody bag with some fantastic items for you and your boat. Raise even more, and you’ll receive more! See the NOR (posted at http://www.potomacriversailing.org/PresidentsLeukemiaCups/) for details.
If you are interested in supporting the LLS but do not wish to raise funds yourself there are a number of ways to do this: you could donate to another PRSA member who is raising funds, or buy a raffle ticket (details here) and enter the drawing for some great prizes. Please contact me and I can provide you with additional details or put you in touch with a PRSA member who is raising funds.
I look forward to seeing you all at the weekend’s activities and out on the water for the regatta!
