Sad News: Eight Bells for Hadley Greene

A message from Lisa-Marie:

In case you had not heard, it is with great sadness that I am sharing the news that Hadley Green, a longtime friend of Fleet 50 and member of the CAD district, passed away on January 22, 2018.  We extend our deepest condolences to Hadley’s family and all those who knew her or sailed with her.

I know that I did not have a long opportunity to get to know Hadley well, as she was getting ready to move out of the area just as Jim and I starting getting involved with the fleet.  What I do remember, Hadley was always smiling and full of positive energy. I particularly remember that Hadley was one of the first Fleet 50 members we met.  She was there hanging out on the picnic tables after sailing when Jim and I pulled our Lightning into the marina the for the very first time.  She was one of the reasons that we felt so welcome and wanted to part of this amazing group of sailors.  I know she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Lightning Fleet 50 will will making a donation to “Rocking The Boat” in Hadley’s memory.  Please let me know if you would like to contribute to the Fleet 50 Donation.
