The Fleet 50 Annual General Meeting and Awards Banquet has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 12, 6-9pm at Frank and Maryann Gallagher’s Residence (2618 DePaul Drive, Vienna VA 22180).
Please make sure to Sign up for the Potluck! Make sure to list the number in your party and the food/beverages you are bringing so that we have a nice mix of appetizers, main courses, salads, side dishes, desserts, and beverages.
In addition, skippers should remember to pay their Fleet 50 dues. Now is the time to make sure that you are all paid for the 2016 sailing season. Fleet 50 dues are $20 (skipper dues only). Bring your checkbooks to the banquet, or pay online. Take care of this before we start racing and you’re set for the whole season! Finally, remember that skippers and crews alike should join or renew your ILCA membership. Support our class which supports our racing and the value of our boats!
Finally, an update on the 2016 Fleet 50 Board of Officers. Thank you to those who have stepped up to help us out in 2016: Frank Gallagher (Lieutenant for Racing), Will Summers (Scorer), Geof Fuller (Secretary) and Lisa-Marie Lane (Potomac Cup Regatta Chair) As a volunteer organization, we work best as a fleet with a full slate of officers, and I am thrilled that we have a wonderful slate of officers for 2016. With this full complement of officers Aaron will continue to serve as Fleet Captain for another year (but he will definitely be stepping back after 2016).
